KhaoLak accommodation guide Pakwib and Bangsak

The 5km stretch of Pakwib beach is at km marker 71 on route 4, and has some excellent high-end resorts. Going north at marker 76 is the long sweeping Bangsak beach with currently just a couple of resorts. None of this coastline has any tourist centres. With the exception of Takuapa town to the north, and KhaoLak proper to the south, there are just a couple of very small villages, and the occasional bamboo-hut restaurant (especially at Bangsak), amidst the very relaxing coastline and landscape. Some of the Pakwib hotels offer regular courtesy minibus services to the central hub of Khao Lak (ie. Nang Thong Beach / Baan La-on).
