Baan Nam Khem is a small Thai fishing village about 25 km north of KhaoLak proper, and just south of the regional town of Takua Pa. Just north of Takua Pa is the 240 sq km Sri Phang Nga national park. Baan Nam Khem has a tsunami memorial park, and there is also a small pier for the boat to nearby Kor Khao island. This is a peaceful, quiet and relaxing location.
